Dental implants are small titanium screws that can be placed where teeth are missing into the jawbone. Procedure
During sinus augmentation, a small window is created in the bone above the missing tooth. The sinus membrane is gently lifted and the underlying space is filled with bone graft material. The window is then closed.
Implants are placed after a healing period of several months. This procedure allows for successful dental implants in upper areas that may not be viable without additional bone.
